2024 Festival for the Eno

The Bulltown Strutters were delighted to perform for the first time at Durham’s Festival for the Eno, which raises money (and fun!) to conserve the Eno River basin. The Eno River basin runs through Durham and Orange counties.

Reigning Beaver Queen Woody Wonka and Beaver Queen Emerita Jeanie Tailia joined us as we led a parade through the festival.

We concluded with a stage show.

Although it was a hot one, dancing and a good time were had by all. We are looking forward to playing again next year!

2024 Durham Earth Day Festival

We were delighted to celebrate Earth Day with a parade around Durham Central Park as part of the 2024 Durham Earth Day Festival on April 21.

This year was particularly special because it was also marking the 100th year of Durham Parks and Recreation. We were happy to celebrate this occasion with members of the department (and mascots)!

We had a great turnout despite a rainy day.

2024 Spring Shakori Hills Festival

This year we continued our tradition of leading the People’s Parade at the Shakori Hills Spring Grassroots Festival, along with the Paperhand Puppets. Watch a short video of our pre-parade jam session:

We ended the parade at the dance tent, followed by a stage show.

And we thanked Blaise and Cathy for 14 years of leading the Strutters, launching them into a well-deserved sabbatical.
